Curator's Note
For our very first release, we could have played it safe. But Folk was never meant to repeat what’s already known. We’ve started with something cherished — not to prove anything, but to see how even the most familiar things can still surprise us.
We chose Gesha, one of the most celebrated and carefully guarded varieties in coffee. Known for its clarity and elegance, and for the extraordinary care it takes to grow, it’s the kind of name that carries weight. Farmers around the world treat it as something almost sacred, and with good reason.
That’s exactly why we wanted to begin here. If Folk is about curiosity and craft, then there’s no better way to introduce ourselves than by exploring new dimensions of something already beloved. The two Geshas we’ve selected come from unexpected origins and reveal surprising character: more floral than sweet, more herbal than fruit-forward, more alive than polished.
Beginning with untraditional versions of a coffee this iconic felt risky. But that’s part of what we believe in: honoring tradition by testing it, and letting curiosity lead the way.
Off Script is both our first step and a promise — to approach even the most established things with fresh eyes, open hands, and a willingness to see what else might be waiting there.
Join our Founders Club and one of these two Geshas is yours—our way of welcoming our first members. This is a one-time offering. Once it's gone, it's gone.
